KINDNESS COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
Form V6 and Hours Due February 1st
Engaging children in volunteer projects is a powerful way to teach them the values of kindness, empathy, and social responsibility. By participating in community service, kids not only learn to appreciate the importance of giving back, but also develop essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Through hands-on experiences like feeding the homeless, cleaning up local parks, or visiting nursing homes, children witness firsthand the impact of their actions on others' lives. These experiences not only foster a sense of empathy and gratitude but also empower them to make a positive difference in their communities.
Moreover, volunteering helps children cultivate a deeper connection to the world around them, instilling in them a sense of responsibility towards creating a more kind and compassionate society. As they engage in acts of service, they become inspired to continue making a difference, ultimately contributing to a brighter and more empathetic future.
2024 Art Club Project

What is “Angel Tree”? Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. The Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for thousands of children in the Grand Forks community. Salvation Army served 1,050 Angels last year. Once a child or family adult has been registered and accepted as an “Angel”, their Christmas wish list is shared with donors who purchase gifts. Volunteers distribute the gifts for them to be placed under their family Christmas Tree.
What to do: The Angel Tree will be set up in the Art Room
November 25. Pick a child to bring a present off their list for families in need. Must be under the tree (not wrapped) in a grocery bag with the ornament attached by December 5th. Advertise to friends and family, and thank you for being and Angel!
